Rossmoor Coronavirus Covid-19 Updates and Resources

This is a difficult time for us all, and especially for those seniors who have been asked to self-isolate for their own health due to the Covid-19 strain of the Coronavirus.  The Rossmoor community is (as always) amazing in their resourcefulness and sense of community.

I’m posting some resources to help keep all informed at Rossmoor Walnut Creek with Rossmoor coronavirus updates.  I could use your help! I encourage you to use the comments section, or email me, Tim Eng, at to let me know if there is any additional information or links that I should add that would be helpful.  

At this time, no cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus have been publicly reported at Rossmoor.

General Information – Rossmoor Coronavirus Updates

  • Rossmoor Creekside Grill reopens for pickup or delivery
    Starting, Wednesday, March 25th, the Creekside Grill will be open for curbside pickup, and delivery. The Grill will be open for lunch, from 11AM to 3PM, and  for dinner, from 4PM to 6PM. This is for pickup and delivery only.  The dining room and bar will remain closed until further notice.Visit their website at to place an order, or for questions, call 925-949 8658.



Food and Shopping / Delivery Services for Rossmoor

Groceries, Pharmacies and/or food delivery / curbside pickup services

For those without access to a computer, please let them know that they can get assistance placing an order for meals from a restaurant.  Call GoGoGourmet at 1 (855) 754-5328 to speak with a live representative who can assist in ordering from their favorite restaurant and have it delivered to their door. 

For assistance placing an online order from a grocery store,  they can contact GoGoGroceries at 1 (855) 222-4919 to speak with a live operator who will work with them to select the exact products.


Some of these vendors are currently experiencing delays due to volume – so please plan ahead!

    • Safeway
      Delivery or “Drive Up ‘n Go” service  – order online, choose pickup location and pickup date/time, park in marked space, call number posted and clerk will deliver to your trunk).  Some stores have earlier availability than others.Closest stores offering this service, by distance:
      – Safeway Alamo Plaza (200 Alamo Plaza, Alamo)
      – Safeway Ygnacio Valley (2800 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Walnut Creek)
      – Safeway San Ramon (2505 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon)
      – Safeway Contra Costa Boulevard (1978 Contra Costa Blvd, Pleasant Hill) Safeway: No “Drive Up ‘n Go” available. Senior hours from 6 am – 9 am (regular hours from 7 am–9 pm).

    • Kairi’s Kitchen Curbside Pick-up
      Pickup at Gateway parking lot,
      Offering meals, sandwiches, soup, desserts etc.
      To place an order please call 925-288-1781, Monday-Saturday, between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm.  Orders need to be submitted 24 hours prior to pick up and require pre-payment with a credit card.

    • ChoiceLunch Pantry
      At Gateway parking lot, starting Tuesday, March 31st. Variety of grocery staples: Milk, Bread, Eggs and Meat.

Safeway Alamo –    Senior hours from 6 am – 9 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays  (regular hours from 7 am–9pm)
Whole Foods Walnut Creek –
  Senior hours from 8 am – 9 am (regular hours from 9 am–8pm)
Trader Joe’s Walnut Creek –    Senior hours from 9 am to 10 am
Target Walnut Creek –    Senior hours first shopping hour every Tuesday & Wednesday (in WC Wednesday 8 to 9 am)

Lunardi’s Walnut Creek –    Senior hours from 7 am – 8 am, Tuesdays and Thursdays with 5% discount (regular hours 7 am–7 pm)
Dollar General –    Senior hour is first hour each day
Costco Concord –     Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am to 9 am.
Sam’s Club Concord –     Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am to 9 am.

Great Resources to Keep Connected and Entertained


  • Contra Costa Library Digital Collection is always open!
    Libraries are closed – but did you know that you can borrow Ebooks for your Kindle/Phone/Laptop/Computer, Audiobooks AND Movies free online with your library card? You can also get a free 24 hour pass to the New York Times and access Rosetta Stone online language learning.  No library card? No problem. It just takes a few seconds to sign up using your mobile number and start borrowing free digital titles.  There’s a “chat” function if you need help.






  • Tice Creek Fitness Center Online

    The Training Staff at the Tice Creek Fitness Center is working on new ways to reach out to members to help them meet their fitness goals.  The staff is contacting clients via phone and email and posting Stay-at-Home exercise videos at staff is also connecting with members to conduct virtual training appointments.  These are no cost one on one virtual appointments.   • Adopt a pet from ARF – Walnut Creek’s Animal Rescue Foundation
    Adoptions are only $25 through their “Empty the Shelters” event. If you see an animal you’re interested in the  website or social media, email the team at and include the name of the animal you’re interested in, as well as a phone number to reach you, to be added to our virtual queue. Be ready to answer the call from ARF to keep your splace in the queue. Then we’ll start the process of getting you a new furry family member!
